Simplify payment processes, monetise digital services and integrate new revenue models into existing business processes.
Payment
Integration
Payment and Billing in the Enterprise Environment
Whether it’s a customer portal, a platform, a digital service, or a connected machine: payment processes must work in tandem with contracts, service delivery, and financial processes.
We design and integrate payment solutions for existing and new business models. To this end, we connect SAP-based payment processes, Stripe and other payment service providers with the relevant enterprise systems.
Payment
processes
Simplifying existing payment processes
Manual payment allocation, separate systems, and time-consuming refunds create additional administrative work. Seamless integration links payment acceptance, settlement, and bookkeeping.
- Simplifying payments: Providing suitable payment methods in online shops, portals and digital applications.
- Automate workflows: Process recurring payments, payment statuses, refunds and failed payments across all systems.
- Connect financial processes: Reconcile transactions, fees and disbursements with invoices and open items.
- Create transparency: Make discrepancies and the need for action clear to finance, sales and customer service teams.
Monetisation
Enabling new digital revenue models
Digital services must be marketable and billable across existing product, contract, and system boundaries. This applies to the combination of physical products with software and services, as well as usage-based offerings or joint business models with partners.
The requirements range from pricing and contract logic through to service entitlements and payment flows – across companies, markets and distribution channels.
| Monetisation approach | Implementation requirements |
|---|---|
| Hybrid product and service offerings | Combine one-off purchases, subscriptions and usage-based components; manage provisioning and service entitlements |
| Usage- and performance-based models | Capture traceable usage data, apply contractual pricing rules and generate auditable billing records |
| Platform and partner business models | Define manufacturer, dealer and platform operator roles; allocate revenue shares and commissions, and manage payouts |
| International expansion | Combine standardised processes with local payment methods, currencies and legal entity requirements |
Equipment as a Service
Machinery and plant are offered on the basis of recurring fees linked to usage or performance. This requires contractual terms, machinery and usage data, and service entitlements to be linked to billing and payment processing. Depending on the model, financing and service partners may also need to be involved.
Industrial Aftersales
Spare parts, maintenance, software functions and digital services are sold and invoiced via customer and dealer portals. In doing so, installed systems, customer-specific terms and existing contracts must be taken into account. Where there are multiple parties involved, the allocation of revenue shares and the management of payouts must also be handled.
Technology &
Payment methods
Integrating SAP, Stripe, and Payment Methods
The selection of components depends on the business model, system landscape, and operational requirements. Billing determines which services are billed and under what terms. Payment handles the payment processing. The integration connects both with the upstream and downstream processes.
SAP-Based Payment Processes
In SAP environments, the focus is on connecting business applications, payment service providers, and financial processes. The SAP digital payments add-on enables the integration of SAP and non-SAP applications with payment service providers. The available functionality depends on the specific application and provider.
Stripe for Payments, Billing, and Platforms
Depending on the use case, different components are used: Stripe Payments for accepting payments, Stripe Billing for subscriptions and usage-based billing, and Stripe Connect for platforms and payment flows involving multiple parties.
The integration connects these functions, for example, with ERP, contract management, commerce, and service systems.
Payment Methods Tailored to the Business Process
Credit and debit cards, SEPA direct debit, bank transfer, PayPal, Apple Pay, or Google Pay: The selection depends on the target audience, market, and payment process. We also take into account recurring payments, currencies, fees, and the allocation of incoming payments. Availability is verified for each payment service provider and business model.
Concept &
Implementation
From Requirements to Implementation
We combine business design with technical integration. Together with the relevant departments, we clarify business rules, system responsibilities, and interfaces – from pricing and service tracking to payment and accounting.
Based on this, we select suitable components, integrate them into the existing architecture, and verify end-to-end processes. This also includes contract changes, refunds, payment defaults, authorizations, and monitoring.
